A new Dawn at Stampede

Born and raised Calgarian Dawn Farrell knows a thing or two about the Calgary Stampede. From the time the newly-appointed board member was three years old, the Stampede was a family tradition. “My brother, sister and I used to watch the Parade with our grandmother every year,” Farrell says. “She lived in Ramsay so we loved to make popcorn and watch the fireworks with her from Scotsman Hill.”

Farrell’s other grandmother was involved with horses so she spent time on Park with her and working as an 18-year-old as a server at the racetrack.
