Infield Suites Upgrade

It was 20 years ago in 1997 when the Calgary Stampede opened its first 25 luxury Infield Suites. Since then, thousands of guests have been hosted including Canadian prime ministers and premiers, Hollywood celebrities and our own valued sponsors.

Prior to Stampede 2017, the original 21 Infield Suites will be completely renovated. New furniture, floors, countertops and millwork, as well as brand new wall finishes and artwork, will be unveiled just in time for the show.

Many upgrades to the suites have occurred over the years to enhance the experience for our guests. Suites 23-25 were originally temporary structures to allow for removal after the 10-day festival to maintain sightlines for Stampede Park’s live thoroughbred and harness racing. Permanent suites were built in 2004 to replace them and Suites 27-29 added above them in 2006. Suite 22 – our dirt-level Super Suite – received a complete and unexpected renovation in 2013 after the Calgary floods, as did our Infield kitchen!

Executive Chef, Clayton Corkran, returns to the Infield for his fourth consecutive year with a menu sure to please at the Stampede Rodeo or GMC Rangeland Derby Chuckwagon Races. Included in all suite rentals are a gourmet selection of sharing platters, a carved and flambéed item individually prepared by a private in-suite attendant and a globally-inspired stick-to-your-ribs hot pot. To complete the culinary experience, Chef Corkran has selected decadent home-made desserts and gourmet ice cream bars.

ranahans Private Dining Experience

The "new" private dining experience at ranahans is a re-imagined version of the former private dining room.  We heard from our valued clients that they enjoyed this elegant private space for their larger functions, but didn’t want to miss out on the great food experiences happening out in the main dining room.

For Stampede 2017, we will bring the action into the private room with mini food stations replicating all the great food for which ranahans has become known!  Plated gourmet salads, seafood specialties and carved and grilled AAA Alberta beef will be just some of the featured menu items.

In order to facilitate the room’s new layout, we are recommending a maximum group size of 32 now rather than the former 40 (but will be grandfathering some 40-person groups for 2017 only).  We are also planning some exciting décor upgrades to this popular room.

Contact our sales team at 403.261.9143 or premiumseating@calgarystampede.com to reserve your ranahans private dining experience today.
